Note: Above return values considered 1 RP = 0.25p (max. potential for these cards) on both Reserv and Marquee. Also, considered Reserv joining fee, renewal fee waived with spends and all values are with 3x/5x subscription plan.

Drsel's advice
1. Ideally Yes Marquee should be used only for online spends and the points earned should be redeemed for Zomato and Swiggy cash vouchers.

2. Ideally Yes Reserve 3x should be used only for online spends and the points earned should be redeemed only for flights (because both domestic and international hotels are always available at 25 to 35% discount on Cleartrip with various credit cards).

3. Yes Reserve 5x has the highest return of all Yes Bank cards, provided you have a lot of expenses in hospital bills, doctors fees, diagnostic tests (blood test, x-ray, CT scan, MRI etc,), medicines, travel (including online travel agents), luxury fashion brands.
Ideally Yes Reserve 5x should be used only for online spends in all the above categories, and the points earned should be redeemed only for flights (because both domestic and international hotels are always available at 25 to 35% discount on Cleartrip with various credit cards).

4. For all spends, if possible, ask the merchant to send a payment link by SMS, email or WhatsApp, so that you can pay online instead of offline to get the extra 2.25% (Marquee) or extra 1.5%.(Reserv 3x and 5x)

YES Reserv: https://www.yesbank.in/personal-banking/cards/credit-card/reserv-credit-card
YES Marquee: https://www.yesbank.in/personal-banking/yes-individual/cards/credit-cards/marquee-credit-card
Subscription Plan: https://www.yesbank.in/credit-card-services/rewards-subscription-plan
Lounge conditions: https://www.yesbank.in/pdf?name=yesbank_creditcard_tnc.pdf

Spends threshold for Annual and Joining Fee reversal will exclude Rent and Wallet Transactions

A Gentle Warning: YES Bank updates since Apr'23, expect more in your membership period (this means its unstable at this point)..

1. Rent/Wallet surcharge 0.5%
2. Rent/Wallet surcharge 0.75%
3. Rent/Wallet surcharge 1%
4. Priority pass related update (adjusted visit count)
5. Adjusted categories in subscription and limits
6. Rental and Wallet spends will not accrue any Reward Points
6. Capping of Reward Points earned on Utility Spends - Rewards to be earned upto spends of INR 15,000 per statement cycle
6. Forex Markup Fee of 1% on Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)* Spends
7. utility limit changed twice or thrice
8. Increased spends for lounge access (twice or thrice)
9. 1% surcharge on utility
10. Updates on 1% surcharge on utility
11. Modified select categories 4th time.

can you please point me to where it's mentioned what's the c2c criterion and income criterion for both those? I saw the reviews, but can't find these details there. Would be really helpful if you can link me to the relevant post/link which mentions about this? Thanks in advance! @drsel
Just apply from yes bank website…
Depending upon your CIBIL profile you will be offered the suitable card.. you can’t choose the one you want .. you have to take whatever they offer you if you like it or leave it…
There is no need to provide any income docs..
It gets all your profile details from CIBIL..
Mention the income as per your desire..
All the best

Offline card to card requirements for Yes Marquee --
Salaried or self employed
Net Salary of >3 Lakhs per month (or) Income Tax Return of >24 Lakhs

While the above applies to offline physical application channel, chances of you getting the card is high if you’ve other credit cards with higher limit (>5L) reported to CIBIL.

Yes Reserve 5x is better than Yes Reserve 3x.
It should be used only online for travel (including online travel agents) and medicines, all diagnostic tests, hospital bills and doctor bills.

And even worst case, the lower end Yes Reserv 3x is also better than Yes Marquee, correct?

No, because you have to pay joining + subscription fees of 2359 + 4130 for Yes Reserve 3x.
There is no joining benefit nor renewal benefit to compensate 2359 joining fee and 2359 renewal fee.
Also the return rate is very poor without subscription.

Yes Marquee does not have any subscription fee and the joining fee 11799 is more than fully compensated with 15000 worth of Swiggy or Zomato cash vouchers

Yes Marquee also has buy one get one movie tickets up to 800 and unlimited International and lots of domestic lounge access, so it is superior to Yes Reserve 3x

AU Lit with 5% bonus cashback and 10 x online or offline rewards give you 7.5% return on 10000 per month on all MCC codes. (subscription fee of 706 for 90 days).
You can choose 2.5% online or 2.5% offline or both along with the 5% bonus real cashback on 10000 per month.

You can even combine 5% bonus and 2.5% online/offline with 5% grocery or 5% apparel if you want to get 12.5% return on 10000 per month by paying 1059 or 941 subscription for 90 days.

So, from the return point of view, AU Lit is much better than Yes Reserve 3x -- which gives you max. 6% online (only if points are used for flight bookings), with subscription fee of 4130 per year

This leaves Yes Reserve 5x as the best Yes Bank card, provided you have a lot of expenses in hospital bills, doctors fees, diagnostic tests (blood test, x-ray, CT scan, MRI etc,), medicines, travel (including online travel agents), luxury fashion brands.
So it may not be suitable for everyone.

I am not considering dining 9% because EazyDiner gives you 25 to 55% discount on many restaurants in the big metros.

Joining fee waived if spend 40k, and 8000 reward points (worth 2000) if fee paid. Both cards we need to pay only GST (when considered 1RP=0.25p).
Thanks for the heads up !
so Yes Reserve 5x for 359 + 5900 is the best Yes bank card for those who need to spend a lot on Healthcare and travel, as mentioned above in post number 93.

I know so many people who spend lacs of rupees on hospital bills, CT scan, MRI, etc

that depends, as you said .. if one want can go for YES with 5x subscription or know how to spend with multiple packs then AU LIT or for easy cases (in someway) Atlas. Each has price difference, LIT can only select whenever we need in 3 months whereas YES, Atlas must and should spend to recover the renewal fee or subscription fee but one card has lower monthly limits whereas other can explore further.

I think we should start a thread for travel card (non-miles/points transfer related, only revenue or voucher) to compare these cards.

Even, if one spend 6L in a year (4x1.5) will get 3.17% reward in regalia gold (note: this is lowest, and like Axis, HDFC has accelarated program to extend its value >5%), none of these beat that 10%+ LIT but when spends higher, there is an opportunity.

I'd honestly love to see that thread. @helloworld Also maybe a thread for comparing cards for online or offline non accelerated spending? Thoughts? I think there's enough competition there to compare, it'd be really useful for people I'm sure if someone can initiate (i personally don't know much about competitors here, hence would love to learn). @helloworld

Since you are allowed to have only one HDFC card, you should go for Infinia, which is the best, and nothing less will do
Not true, can hold 3-4 hdfc cards easily as floater cards. @drsel

No, because you have to pay joining + subscription fees of 2359 + 4130 for Yes Reserve 3x.

Also the return rate is very poor without subscription.
Bro Yes Reserv joining fees and renewal fees can be very easily waived off. So no joining and renewal benefit really is not much of an issue, coz you aren't paying anything as well. all you have to pay is the subscription fee - no benefit for that I agree, but 3x easily beats Yes Marquee reward rate atleast right? Isn't it? Not talking about other benefits, just talking about reward rate, nothing else here. Am i missing something? @drsel

That's insane. I didn't know AU Lit RP rate could go that high, wasn't aware at all about this. Thanks for sharing! 👍 I already have AU Zenith, is it possible to get AU Lit as a second card? Don't want to close Zenith as it's LTF for me. @drsel

Yes Reserve 3x (6% online) would beat Marquee (4.5% online ) only if you cannot get flights at a discount.
And you need to spend over 2.75 lacs on Yes Reserve 3x to break even on the charge of 4130. (1.5% difference)

personally I get 24% return on flights so I would discount flights by 24%.

But for conversion to Zomato and Swiggy vouchers, Marquee is much better
