Will my Amex application be rejected if I have many cards already?

I have 8 credit cards. 7 unsecured, 1 secured. I read in the pinned post that there shouldn't be any query in the last 3 months. But my question is, does AMEX reject the application if they think 8-10 credit cards are already too many cards?

I have 17 credit cards all unsecured and today only I received approval mail for amex mrcc. so u can go ahead and apply.

No. Depends largely on credit score. Bigger issues is pin code for most people.

Before applying for Amex I had 21 cards , and 6 enquiries in last 90 days , still got my gold charge card

Not based on number of credit cards but may check for number of inquiries in recent times.

Many banks card. We can get offers from multiple bank. There is no harm in keeping LTF
