My case has been resoved permanently . I got the refund
The whole culprit here is Rupay and not anyone else
Payment got failed on 15th May Afternoon
Goodscore refunded on 15th Night itself . Money not credited
after 15days of continuous callbacks I got the proof of refund frm GoodScore and Rupay is holding the money back with them neither informing Goodscore nor IDFC Once i with all proofs sent mail to IDFC they escalated and got the refund credited in 2days of mail receipt.
This is the only thing which I hate about oline payments. Sometimes the refund takes a lot of time and customer has to take the follow ups with multuple parties. Apart from this everything is excellent.
What does RuPay have to do with it? Even people using Visa cards are getting refunds late from Goodscore.
The reason is simple – the merchant may have processed the refund but due to the large amount involved, the payment might have already been settled with the payment gateway, which is why the refund can't be processed immediately by payment gateway.
Some people file chargebacks. In such cases, both the bank and the card network put the transaction on hold until the investigation is complete.
A few months ago, when people were getting rewards for paying credit card bills directly through the PhonePe app, some users Firstap RuPay debit cards were repeatedly getting blocked and IDFC was calling to ask where the transactions were happening, etc.
Someone asked over a call why the card was being blocked repeatedly and the IDFC Bank representative said that multiple customers were filing chargebacks against that PhonePe merchant.
