What is the minimum age criteria for self employed individual for SBI Cards

I was thinking of applying for the SBI PhonePe Card SELECT BLACK credit card but I have read from here that the minimum age for self employed is 25 years old for SBI Cards, but when I asked the SBI cards customer care via email they replied saying it's 21. Which is true?

Also, I have read some people say that they put salaried in the application when they were younger than 25 and they got a SBI card approved. Is this a valid strategy or will they ask for proof?

21 is largely for cc
Some ask 23 like scapia which is only gaining traction because of referral

Other sbi card can be obtained at 21
Which I got as my 1st card on day turning 21

Other cards like hdfc can be obtained before 21 with some good bank relationship getting pre approved

Scapia ka 25 hai bhai for self employed and 21 for salaried

Jab maine liya tha apne pehle cc saare pvt banks ka criteria 18 tha abhi 21 is standard. In fact i got sbi cashback on my 21st bday. That was the first thing I did after 12:00 AM.

I already have a credit card. I just wanted to know the criteria for self employed for SBI Cards.

One more question, I read that you can apply for SBI credit card without doing video KYC by depositing Rs.1 to my bank account. Is that correct? Do you already have to hold a SBI card/account for this to work or can new user also do KYC like this?

That depends on your profile. If you have a solid credit profile and score, then you may get instant approval with just Penny Drop verification.

I applied for the card under my mother's name. It did give me the option to do KYC via bank. Now the application is in pending status. Does getting the option to do KYC via bank mean it has a higher chance of approval or can they still reject it?

It's SBI. If not approved instantly, then you have to go through their lengthy process of verification, and still, they may reject. Try your luck!
