Wanted to just make listing gains.
Process
Had applied for 260 shares (max for retail investor) @ 740 per share on the last day of IPO.
Was allotted 84 shares (part allotment).
Total investment - 84 x Rs 740 = Rs 62,140.
Listing Day Actions
On listing day, sold all 84 @ Rs 837
Total sell value = 84 x Rs 837 = Rs 70,308
Listing Gain
Total listing gain = 84 x Rs (837-740) = Rs 8,148
i.e. approx. Rs 8K after STT etc.
Total Profit
After STCG @ 20%, total profit = approx. Rs 6,400 on an investment of Rs 62,140
i.e. total profit approx. Rs 6,400 i.e. 10.29% post taxes - in one day!
