So, Paid someone on UPI around 60K for helicopter tickets yesterday. When reached destination turned out all were fake tickets. What all remedies do I have to get my refund.

You have 3 days timeline from the date of transaction. Please report it to your bank as soon as possible.

Visit your branch and have a talk, they will contact the recipient bank and place the amt trf on hold of the recipient acc.

If he/she has booked chopper tickets, chances are slim he/she is within the reach of his home branch.

If the recipient has withdrawn or spend it somewhere else. Then I think hold is not applicable. If money is there then it's safe. If not then it's gone. I think this incident has passed 2-3 days. Most probably person has withdrawn the amount.

But if it is a fraud transaction, then the bank will definitely place a lien hold of the said amount in the recipient's bank if I am not wrong. It is up to the recipient to get the lien cleared. The next time he receives any amount, the bank will auto recover the amount placed as lien.

First go neareast police station and file a FIR. ICICI asked me for FIR in a similar case.

So asked the branch, they said I have to first raise a complaint for them on their email, generate SRN and then they can do anything.

Just confirming if you booked from Kolkata to Digha? If yes then this incident haopend to many people. It came in tv news as well as newspaper.. this fraud is still going on.

Which authority did you wrote to in ICICI? I am filling FIR soon and will then send it to higher authorities I guess that might help. The local branch seems not to be very supportive at the moment.
