Many TF members surely love Marks & Spencer for its excellent multiplier on the grab deals website which even at 20 X presently is great for hitting monthly milestones Magnus.

However, I am sure many of you love, shopping off-line where you can try the merchandise before purchasing. Some of you also miss the availability of gift cards or gift vouchers on marks and spencers, which can be bought in advance for future shopping or even used for gifting purposes.

Here is a neat little trick to create synthetic gift cards or gift vouchers which remain valid for one year and can even be used on sale items.

Simply buy your Marks & Spencer products online using grab deals as usual. Now instead of returning these products online go and return them in the store and request a store credit instead of a credit card refund. Marks & Spencer will give you a store credit slip which is valid for 12 months and on every product including sale items. It is valid only in store (all over India) and not online.

You can strategically use this off-line (only) during future purchases or even put it in a nice envelope and give it to dear ones as a gift.

Cheers

Are you sure they don’t consider it as return? Banks usually have a backend communication with the affiliates to check if the order was not returned/cancelled.

Not considered as return if you do not take credit card refund. That has been my personal experience so far. I am guessing M&S store credits are backward integrated with M&S store online - same reason you cannot use them for online purchases.

can we directly go to the store and return those? Also, what's the return window?
