Sofitel Mauritius L'Imperial Resort & Spa

Hi.

We are a family of 2 Adults & 1 Kid (7 Year old).
We are planning on visiting Mauritius for our 10th Annversary celbrations in November 2025.

Please suggest how the Sofitel Mauritius L'Imperial Resort & Spa is for stay.

I am an Accor Gold Member. What benefits can i expect.

Lastly any tips or suggestions for the trip would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly its super average and not value for money unless you are doing points redemption in which case its decent enough barring service. Rent a car and drive around and use this as a place to just unwind, if u expect this resort to be a holiday experience u are going to be disappointed. I was there 2 years back, so maybe now its improved but i doubt it, property was super old and maybe renovations are done selectively now? not sure.

If u are doing cash stay, try oberoi there, beautiful property it is. Service is also good.

W.r.t your gold tier, outside india no one cares, except tiny bit in south east asia. At best you will get late checkout, we got extra few hours post checkout time without any fuss. No room upgrades nothing, and europe is worse, they legit don't care about accor status unless you are platinum.

The hotel is undergoing renovations and will be completed by october. So we will be mostly getting the renovated rooms. Will look into the Oberoi also.
