Serious data breach in Rupay Platinum Voucher Codes

It's happened with me 3 times now

After redeeming vouchers from Nari Shakti Rupay Platinum, rupay shared vouchers for Flipkart and Nykaa with me.

After trying to redeem them, they are constantly throwing up error that these codes belong to a different account

Yesterday, Flipkart shared an excel sheet with them. On enquiring further with Flipkart I found out that the gift card belongs to a different account and was used there

Rupa, like any Indian company as usual, is being technologically challenged and not able to understand the situation and taking it lightly.

They think I have shared this code with someone else.

Not sure what to do

Flipkart shared with them and then they shared with me, as a confirmation that this card has been used
BUT no confirmation on who's account

So I pulled out the order id it was used and checked with Flipkart and they confirmed it was an account by the name of Kumar

Most likely, This is not data breach but a fraudulent activity via the party issuing Gift Codes they are issuing duplicate codes which is the vendor rupay has assigned to procure these gift codes

I don't think it's a data breach. It's the employee of the company straight up pocketing genuine gift voucher and giving used ones to redeemers. It's fraud.

Koi data breach nhi jyada dimag na laga bhai. There could be two possibilities ya to ye ek hi code intentionally ek se jyada log ko de rhe ya koi system issue h jisse vo code multiple account ko ja rha. That's it.
I have faced this issue many times with lakme, flipkart, bigbasket vouchers. If you instantly get a code there are possibilities it could be a repeated/used code but if you receive code after 24-48 hours then surely you will receive fresh code. Isse yehi conclusion nikalta h koi system issue h.

Haan bro technically if someone is even writing it with hand by watching the screen, it's still called a data breach lol

Ok I have found out why this is happening

All of you were wrong. Which is mostly true of people who think they know it all.

Rupay called me and told me they had manually updated these codes on their portal so that people don't have to wait for 24 hours to get codes.

So basically the leak happened in this system

Also they will share new codes

Also they were asking me for Flipkart customer care number lol. Cuz I did half the detective work for them by finding out this coupon was used on an account by kumar.
