SBI Debit card RP capping

SBI Debit card -

"Earn up to 10,000 SBI Reward Points every month with a cap of Rs. 1,000/- per transaction."

Can anyone here explain what is this cap of Rs 1000 per transaction means?
Will I not earn any RP if my transaction is greater than ₹1000?

No, that's a typo. You will get 2 points for every ₹200 spent. That's actually restriction of 1000 points per transaction, not ₹1000.

So, you can only do a single ₹1 lakh transaction to hit the per-transaction cap. The maximum limit for the month is ₹10 lakh.

P.S. I'm assuming you are asking about the physical card.

What about VDC SBI DC ? What is the max limit of both rewards and eligible transactions in a month ? Thank you!

for VDC the terms and conditions are different, you are only allowed to do 50000 rupees transaction in a day which would earn you, 50000/200 * 4, 1000 points which is as per the cap limit defined.

and in a month you can only do a total of 500000 rupees of transaction anything above this would not earn you any reward points as the cap of 10000 rp would already have been achieved

From the physical card this is half as the reward points earned for transaction via VDC is double of physical
