SBI debit card closure

Hi, I have SBI basic rupay debit card but it has annual fee?

Should I close it as I using ICICI card for cash withdrawal via ATM.

SBI is just my saving account.

Please suggest,

If closure will impact on my YONO account or anywhere will it be blocker for any service.

You won't able to reset your UPI Pin but mine debit card is lifetime free.

I also blocked my some debit card which has annual fee to its not a problem you can block it.

UPI Pin now can be changed with Aadhaar OTP instead of debit card.
Few banks have already started that. Soon every bank will be integrated so debit is no longer needed for UPI.

You can request netbanking password change through bank branch.
Not sure about online methods without debit card.

I also blocked my some debit card which has annual fee to its not a problem you can block it.

No issue for UPI as I am using private bank for UPI.

SBI is just saving account opened for safety.

Only concern remains is NetBanking.

I am using Yono app. there any dependency on debit card?

yeah branch can easily do it. but you have go early before branch gets open so crowd will not there. Maybe it depend on location but I am telling as per my area and branch

SBI created issues for profile password reset for my wife and she was forced to take debit card for that. Later we realised it is possible to reset profile password also through branch.
