Sbi cb application stuck??

Applied for sbi cb cc through sprint portal.

After doing the bank credit/debit 1rs step and then linking account with Anumati AA, it redirected to the sbicard website with the application status page which shows to complete application but clicking on it shows the second image. Even retrieving application through sprint redirects here.

I had already gotten application submission sms (which said that executive will contact for additional docs) right after verifying aadhar through digilocker (even before doing the bank debit/credit and AA linking step), cibil enquiry has been done as well

Is it just a visual bug on the tracking page or is the application actually stuck or something? Also, any chances of approval and estimated credit limit?

22M, Cibil 765, Salaried 1.16LPM, Credit age - 3 months (only have IDFC wow)

Update 30 july: Got tentative limit on WhatsApp 97k this morning

I read somewhere that this is considered soft approval right??

P.S - was expecting a bit high limit considering monthly take home is around 1.1L 🥲

sbi is conservative bank, considers overall limit of other banks too.

this is the reason close those ltf, and never used bank cards.

Same applies hsbc, sbi and sometimes yes (but u dont need yes cards).

Though for me its been more than one month.
First time after verification calls they daid i will soon receive esign message and after complaints nothing recieved
After another complaint they reopened same application and another cibil enquiry has been made recieved verification calls did vkyc and again no esign message/mail.
 
Update as of 29 July:

1) Woke up to an sms of another cibil enquiry by sbi done at 5am (The application number has been same throughout the whole process, so there has not been any other application made by the agent, just that one online application which triggered 2 cibil checks, one during the online application and one today)

2) Some guy came for office verification in the afternoon, he called from an official number starting with 1960 which the agent had mentioned while doing the vkyc. Clicked the office building picture with its name, clicked our selfie together and picture of my ID card

3) Received an sms in the evening,
"""We have received your SBI Card Application. Pls give us 11 working days to process your App.No. XXXX . The ANNUAL fee on Cashback SBI Card on VISA is INR 999. You can track your application status online at www.sbicard.com"""



No residence address verification done yet (It is different from Aadhar), I've given preferred mail address as office address


Questions
1) will there be seperate residence verification as well? If yes, how does that usually go? Because I would be at office during standard working hours

2) How much time did it generally take you to get confirmation of approval/rejection after this sms?

*I know some people keep waiting for months but considering my online application, vkyc, office verification took place on subsequent days itself, how much time should I expect?

1) Is the WhatsApp tentative limit considering soft approval? Anyone who got rejected after receiving tentative limit on WhatsApp?

2) Suppose I get approved at 97k limit or maybe even less. How long do I have to wait to apply for limit increase? 6 months?

No update from sbi today. They just sent a general whatsapp msg promoting about their whatsapp banking, I clicked on account statement from its menu and got the expected reply that no card is linked to my number.

If anyone can help me out with these doubts from yesterday, I'll be really grateful to u

I’m posting here in the hope that someone with similar experiences can offer guidance or assistance.

I applied for an SBI Cashback Credit Card on 9 July 2025. Despite completing all formalities and multiple follow-ups, the application status still shows "Under Verification", with no substantial progress or clarity from the SBI Card team.



  • 9 July 2025 – Submitted application with all documents.
  • 10 July 2025 – Completed eKYC, Video KYC, and signed MITC.
  • 16 July 2025 – SBI requested alternate email; I provided upfront
  • 17 July & 20 July 2025 – Follow-up emails sent; received standard “21-day processing” response.
  • 29 July 2025 – Received a call from SBI executive asking for the alternate email again. No email verification link received till date.
  • 30 July & 4 August 2025 – Sent detailed follow-ups to PNO requesting current status, pending actions, and estimated timeline.
  • 5 August & 6 August 2025 – Received response from PNO Desk saying complaint reference number has been logged and I will be updated by 18 August 2025.
Meanwhile i have called customer care numerous times with generic response and reaching out to Nodal officer and finally to PNO with generic response.

Status remains “Under Verification” even after 30 days – beyond the 21-day SLA promised.
  • No clarity on what is pending — no final verification call, no physical visit, no communication.
  • Verification link has not been sent to the alternate email despite sharing it twice.
  • Repeated calls/emails give generic replies without resolution.
  • I was even told on call that the card would be dispatched "in a few days", yet nothing has happened.
🙏 Can someone from the community members who’ve faced similar issues please help with the following?
  1. Is this delay normal?
  2. Has anyone experienced similar delays beyond 21 days with no status updates?
  3. Can someone from SBI escalate this and ensure proper communication and resolution?
  4. Is there any alternate way to escalate this before filing a complaint with RBI’s Ombudsman?
If anyone can assist or suggest the next best course of action, I’d truly appreciate it.

UPDATE - 19 August - Finally card got approved today and virtual card generated. had to file complaint with RBI and after 40 days of applying got the card approved, most importantly in first attempt. lets see when i get the physical card. sadly didnt get any support or guidance from the forum. but happy that i dealt all alone.

Here mine different Case !!
Applied for Phonepe Sbi on 18th .
Did 1 rs verification then Anumati account linked.
Next Day received call saying to upload statement via net banking login.
So did and she said decline, but not received any sms or mail for rejection.
yesterday call on CC they saying under process.
wait for 21 days.
50-60k limit may be.
now what to do.
aprove or reject?
not able to track application.
