SBI Card blocked due to no transaction for a year

My SBI Visa Platinum LTF got blocked on July 31st due to no transaction for a year. I did get an SMS regarding that, but I missed it.

Now, when I called customer care, they said it is permanently blocked. But, I am able to login to SBI card through website and mobile app and there is no information that it is blocked. I have not yet tried to do a transaction using that card. Customer care says, there is no option for them to unblock it, only way is to apply for new credit card. Closing the credit card will close my credit history for that card.

Did anybody face this issue and got the card activated again? Any pointers on procedure to reactivate the card?.

Try transacting with the card for small amount like 10rs and see what happens.

Bhai...if not used for 1 year means this card is of no use for you...Just move on in life.

I have HDFC infinia which currently is primary card and HSBC live+ for food/grocery.

But SBI card was the only primary card I had sometime back. Have some sentimental attachment + it is LTF. Sometime SBI card offer might help..

OTP received for transaction, but after entering OTP, transaction got declined!

This is a clear sign that the card is dead. No way to bring it back. They will soon update the same in ur CIBIL too. When I closed my Indian bank card I was told specifically by the CC to cut the card and throw it because some people may try to mistakenly use it. It will reach until OTP page and then get declined. Better apply for another SBI card.

U not only lost a ltf cc, but also 100 cb .. .. ppl are losing their minds in detailed threads to decode such cashbacks..
