RuPay Select Debit Card Portfolio

I have opened the account today at 9.30 got account no by 11pm visited branch for passbook 1 pm. They asked for aadhar pan copy and 1 passport size photo because as per them, online account needs to complete a rekyc after opening. Anyways, branch executive was helpful he advised me to not apply rsdc immediately.
I too went for offline account opening but that executive said he doesn't know to how to turn off sms alerts.
I dont want to pay unnecessary charges, so opted for online.

Its there bro. Its upto the employee, i also said that after reading your post yesterday they said my account he will convert to some SB165 Code so that will be also free.
The employee is taking a risk for himself/herself. During audit, if salary isn't credited he/she will either have to convert it back to general or get penalized for the same. Payslips are required to be kept physically with account opening form if opened through branch.

As for online opening, the process is quite straightforward. It's unfortunate that some of you are facing a problem. Usually after vkyc is approved, you get your CIF and AC no. instantly. Sometimes, the UIDAI mess up and incomplete information is fetched through AADHAR which may delay the process but it's quite rare.

After 4 5 attempts I somehow filled whole application and did vkyc on Monday.

Today got vkyc successful msg but not cif or acc no. Didn't saw any bank taking this much time after vkyc.
Do they ask me kyc docs again at branch after acc opened and to apply dc?

Already answered before. It's not updated in CBS , so it's required just once to be updated there. Also speeds up the CKYC mapping/generation process which is mandatory as per RBI

Download the BOI mobile app and proceed to register. Login and you will see your details.

Hey @fradela
Can you share your experience and the process of ordering rupay select in CBI for online account opening?

I see initially we get issued with rupay platinum and not provided with any option of choosing DC while onboarding process. So, do we get charged with issuance fee for the same ? How can this be avoided and get select in the first step itself?

Others are also welcomed
TIA
After online application, visited to branch to get account activation, net banking, and app activation.

Once activated app, I applied Select card via app.

Don't ask branch people to apply debit cards.

Apply via app.

App is giving error sometimes while applying dc.
If they r ready to apply, better to apply dc at branch itself.
