Came to boi branch,
I asked account opening, he said aadhar,pan xerox , 2photos needed.

I asked can we turn off sms alerts while opening account?
He said no we dont have such option.

I asked there is option online,why not offline. He said open account online, if u face any problem, come to branch we will resolve

Yes u can but gender should be female though.
And joining fee 590 will be debited once u downgraded

Have you confirmed this with the customer care? I called the customer care today, but they said only the accounts that belong to 180 (internal code maintained by the bank) are eligible for this waiver. And Mahila Shakti is not included in this code.

I am not sure if this information is correct. The support lady didn't sound like a very knowledgeable person to me personally. She was not even aware of the QAB waiver changes. So, the info from her might be outdated as well.

If a few other people can confirm the same with the support, then it will be quite helpful for all.

Select no debit card while opening account and turn off sms alerts
