Regarding two salary account

Dear members

I have already salary account in SBI, and I want to open another salary account in PNB and I am eligible for PNB Excel Salary account.

So can I open 2 salary accounts in two different bank without any issue.

Please share suggestion

You can open salary account. At the max, SBI convert your account to savings which is any way 0 balance account due to non credit of salary

You can open as many salary accounts you want.
While opening an account, if you give your employer name, ID card, office mail ID, payslip etc. banks will open salary account for you.
But next month onwards, salary should come to that account. Otherwise bank will convert it to normal savings account with MAB requirements.

What happened the debit card which I received with that salary account after change to slany savings account

nothing will happen, it will work as ususal. only thing is it will become chargeable. they will start charging annual fees from renewal onwards.

Not sure, maybe with PSUs. Private banks I don't think will give 0 MAB accounts just like that.

Go ahead, PNB Excel will work as Salary Account...

Don't know about PSU banks, private bank open salary account and if your salary is not credited 3 months then they convert it to normal savings account with MAB, and standard charges according to account variant
