Hey guys
I have a doubt say for eg I do a transaction for a friend for say a flight ticket booking (cause of any xyz offer ) worth 2 lacs and he instead of transferring the funds to my bank acc pays my credit card bill of 2 lacs directly from his bank account
Will this have any tax implications in the taxation pov
And if done should I file this transaction in my income tax
Cause As far as I know one can receive up to 50k as a gift from a friend and anything above will be considered as tax able income as per tax slab

If you r fy txns r not > 10lk no need to worry

Its better to (take in ur bank ac &) pay after statement

Txn for rp, right ?

Generally if you txns = r < ur income ... no issue at all

be careful and make sure this won't repeat.
I have seen someone in this community where their amex card blocked because he is paying his card bill via his wife's bank account.

Is there any specific terms that bill must be paid from self account all the time. Please educate. Many of us does that.

In 99% of cases, it won't be a problem. Anyone can pay anyone's credit card bills.

In very rare cases, (Maybe for foreign banks like Amex, HSBC, SCB etc.) they may have this condition that cardholder have to pay from his own bank account itself. But that is very rare. I haven't heard of anyone's card getting blocked because of using a different bank account for paying bills. I haven't heard means that is not the truth. Check with customer care and better get a written confirmation from them. Send an email asking about this and let them reply.

What logic 😂
What 🙄 amex wants to make the wife an ex?

Hey Guys,

I was sometime ago I went through that thread. the OP assumed that the card was blocked because he paid with his wife's account. I couldn't recall that it was assumed. But here is the thread link please feel free to go through it.
