Infinia RedGiraffe payment via hdfc bill pay using credit card marked as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY this time

Hi all,

Looks like HDFC has patched redgiraffe payment option as well in bill pay option via credit card.

Now payment email contains remarks as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY when payment made to redgiraffe via credit credit using hdfc bill pay.

I don’t think we will get rewards points anymore on this. I will get to know in few days once amount is settled.

Does anyone else have received reward points after getting remarks as RENTALBBPSNO via hdfc bill pay ?

Payzapp + Red Girraffe MCC Patched

Payzapp has corrected the MCC for rent transactions done on Red Girraffe. I did a transaction yesterday and the merchant name is reflected as PZRENT. The transaction got settled today and Axis has charged a 1% rent surcharge + GST as well. So it’s no longer reflected as a utility transaction

Btw, I did try a few times and got PZRENT non bbps only. So even if he got points for that non rent Merchant, it seem to have been fixed back.

We need to wait for confirmation now if Bill pay is actually patched. As confirmed by @WhoU he got points with Smartpay activated. Need to wait for @JSFinance confirmation whether will get points.

I know my already accrued reward points. There are no additional points added after settlement

No idea. I have not enabled smartpay.

What was the biller name for you. Then it must be recently patched.

Does Atlas give points on rent payment or it considers only for milestones ?

Gives points, but rent spend doesn't count towards milestones
