Received DCB LTF after Tagda Kalesh

Had been in touch with HDFC since last year for DCB LTF, they were delaying by seeking time again and again.

After Kalesh for more than 6 months, they issued DCB LTF.

Full story: Had a limit of 5 lakh on Regalia Gold, bank had been seeking time again and again since Nov 24 till Feb 25 to provide status of upgrade then rejected the upgrade request.

Reached out to RBI BO and HDFC was directed to issue DCB.

Bank did not comply, after 4 months of Kalesh and another complaint, they issued DCB LTF.

So here is the complete story :

I have been holding HDFC Card for last 5-6 Years. Last Nov, raised mail for LTF DCB based on Alumni offer. I didn't knew offer is over. Bank did not outrightly rejected request instead kept on delaying taking decision with generic response like it is taking more time, appreciate wait, etc. This continued till Feb - 2025 after which they rejected request saying that you are not eligible due to some internal criteria.

I approached RBI BO stating that I fulfilled the criteria of upgrade and will take FYF. After RBI's intervention, Bank responded and accepted that they will upgrade and communicated the same to RBI.

However, Bank did not fulfill the same and stated spending requirements needs to be fulfilled. In the meantime, informed bank that I have high spendings lined up and asked them to upgrade immediately. Bank did not budge. I again complained to RBI. In the meantime had to make 6-7 lakhs worth of spending on Regalia Gold. Informed RBI about loss of reward points due to HDFC Bank's complacency. Asked them to direct compensation or issuance of LTF.

HDFC accepted LTF issuance.

Loss of reward caused due to use of Regalia gold instead of DCB.
