Query on Tata Neu hotel booking charges and cashback

Hi all,

I booked a Ginger hotel in Tata Neu app using Neu Infinity credit card. But the cost structure is not clear to me. I need some help if someone can explain it to me.

Base cost: ₹ 4799
Tax & service charge: ₹ 576
Total cost: ₹ 5375
Coupon discount: ₹ 480

Amount payable: ₹ 4895

Neu coins redeemed: 895

(Here I want to know why it allowed only 895 coins to be redeemed. I had 977 more coins, but it showed maximum coins that can be redeemed as 895 only. Any idea why?)

Balance Paid by Neu card: ₹ 4000

It showed potential neu coins earned from this transaction: 171 (app side)

(Again I want to know how did they arrive at this number 171? It is not 5% of legend tier. How is this calculated?)

If anyone has booked hotel using Neu app and understand this calculation, please help.

Edit: I will earn another 200 neu coins (card side, which is 5% of 4000, expected).

So, total cost spent is 4895 - 171 - 200 = ₹ 4524.

For me, even for ginger all of my Tata Neu Coins are being shown as redeemable, and I am being shown 10% of the final bill value excluding the GST (after deducting the redeemable coins) + 5% of GST charged as potential rewards (Don't ask me how the Tata app considers GST eligible for the rewards).

I haven't booked so can't confirm but this is what I think it is :-

4000 is the amount paid. 576 is the GST.
4000 - 576 = 3424.
3424 * 5% = 171 (Round off).

Regarding the 895 neu coins, are all your coins unlocked for redemption ?
