Query: IndusInd Pioneer Account for Minor

Hello Guys,

Anyone who have opened Minor account with IndusInd under Pioneer program?
Bank is pushing me to open one but I need to know if IndusInd issues Debit card for Minor account (under Guardian control)?

Also in case yes, does Minor gets Pioneer Variant debit card? And the transaction limits applicable on Pioneer debit card for Minor?

I have opened 2 pioneer minor accounts;

1. First - 14 Year : Received Pioneer Debit Card (Plastic VISA whereas all of my 3 regular account has Metal DC)
2. Second - 5 Year - Did not receive Debit Card -> RM says 10+ age will get debit card.

They will get Pioneer debit card irrespective of their age. I have a Pioneer account with addon accounts for my kids one of them is below 10 years. They have their own debit card. My BM has 6 month daughter who has this debit card.

This is what my RM told me as well and therefore I did not opt for Debit Card. For minor above 10 years minor name is printed on DC.

What are the transaction types (ECOM/POS/ATM) allowed/enabled on Minor's Pioneer debit card & their respective limits per transaction?

Standard as that of Major, you can set restrictions tho.

My son is 7 and I have poineer account.

If I open add on account for my son, will he get Pioneer debit card? Also, what is the minimum amount (cheque) needs to be given to open the account?

Pioneer upgrades are not easy, am trying since August but no luck. Bank people always insisting to open a new account for Pioneer but not upgrading existing one.

Yes same experience I had. They are ready to open new with 10l but saying 1cr required for upgrade

1cr is for Pioneer Private. Pioneer Savings & Pioneer Private Savings are two different products. Pioneer requires 10L AQB. And yes, having them upgrade from Grande to Pioneer is a one hell of a task. They kept asking me to create a new account but I was adamant and escalated to pioneer support. Finally they had to upgrade my account. One of the requirement is that the branch that you have account should be a pioneer branch. I had to wait until my branch was Pioneer ready.

There's no pioneer private in my city. For pioneer only they are saying can't upgrade before six months even with 50l nrv. Can you share the escalation mail id's

Pioneer upgrades are not easy, am trying since August but no luck. Bank people always insisting to open a new account for Pioneer but not upgrading existing one.

Finally the account got upgraded to Pioneer today almost after 4 months of follow up. Inspite of maintaining required TRV, upgrade eligibility was not triggered in the bank system till date. So after some escalation & BM's approval account has been upgraded today.

Also anyone got Minor Account for child age less than 10yrs and got Pioneer Debit card (Normal or Metal) with Minor's name printed?
RM said debit card will be issued to guardian & not minor, I am still not able to understand what does it mean 🙂

Recently got the Pioneer account opened for Minor & today I see the Pioneer debit card has been issued as per visible now on Net Banking for my minor account. But under Debit Card name showing Primary account holder name & not Minor's name; I am bit skeptical now if the card will actually carry Minor's name now.

Received the card today and as suspected it has been issued on Primary account holder name with txn limits same like of normal account debit card.
RM has now placed request for Metal variant with Minor's name, lets see if it comes with correct name or not.
