PNB savings account review & SMS alert off possible ?

What is ur review of PNB savings account (QAB 2000) ?


1. Can SMS alerts be turned off through app/net banking?

2. Do they unnecessarily freeze accounts due to KYC regularly (periodic updation etc) ? (i read many YouTube comments regarding this)

3. Do their online KYC method actually work? For periodic updation of KYC?

4. Will they make me visit branch at all costs for even tiniest of works?


5. What should be preferred opening account online or through branch ? In online directly option is there to turn off SMS alert, debit card etc.
Maybe if I open online branch will say "apna online hi Jano" if branch visit is required.

6. Their UPI server , net banking , app works fine or always have some errors or problems ?

Anyone who opened account online also share their experience .
Also share any other experience with PNB .
 
If you are talking about the Unnati Savings Account than what the f is this?

Pnb me sms alert off krne ka koi option nhi h wo direct mobile number de-link kr dete h..fir kuchh bhi nhi chlega

I think that's what they did with @Ram1 however how the hell did they turn off mine. Everything is working for me (the only issue I had was aadhaar seeding and I was able to do that from NPCI portal). I have never got SMS charges in last 2-3 years. DC, netbaking, mobilebanking, UPI etc everything works perfectly.

Note: I have normal Unnati/SB General account.

I think the option is there but these guys just delink the mobile to piss off customers.

Does they charge you after 40 debit transactions per six months?

I think the 40 Txn limit is for branch txn. Cuz I am sure I have exceeded 40 txn limit 2-3 times in last 2-3 years.

If you check the T&C IBS (Internet Banking Services), ATM and SI are excluded from 40 Txn limit.

So basically 40 Txn limit refers to branch txns.

I was thinking to get it for UPI payments
 
Personal experience - PNB is the worst PSU regarding freeze, Also in PNB without debit card you cant reset password. Bob and Sbi are far better.
PNB employee told me their system tends to freeze payments that does not end with zero

True,
Their employees also very rude.
I visited 2 branches, both dont have positive attitude/atmosphere.
And mobile number linking is a headache process

No but they freeze NetBanking/mobile banking user id if non usage of above 360days

Yes

UPI server good but PNB ONE app is very slow & NetBanking interface is very poor but feature rich
Anyone who opened account online also share their experience .
Also share any other experience with PNB .
Not worthy, overall banking service is not good
