Avoid models in LG with linear compressors(2024 -2025). LG faced many lawsuits due to these particular models (google it for more info). This is where companies are using AI, appliance montior activities, and the financial condition of the people using it. And then as soon as the warranty expires. It starts destroying the ICs, parts, etc.

You might be right! All the apps will ask for permission to connect to “Local Network” so they will know what device you are using and what all devices are connected to your network and make your financial profile. Later they will take a call on breaking your components 🙂

What I meant was that a Macs can last around 4 years with heavy usage, but for normal day-to-day tasks it can last 10+ years or more w/o any upgrades. Since Macs are generally not upgradable(exc mac mini m4), their long lifespan makes them even more reliable.

currently on tiny10 i think no need to upgrade further. you have better processor. old things are last longer. in 2017 my cousin bought a dell laptop it nearly dead in 3-4 years

my current status on my 13 year old ASUS laptop...

Keyboard is not working properly.. , that’s why there will be some typos when I type from this old laptop…need to replace it..
I already bought it , need to find time to work on it

Using Dell E5430 from 2013. RAM upgraded and HDD replaced with SSD. Now on 3rd Battery. Keyboard sometimes acts funny so mostly using external wireless keyboard/mouse. Do not carry it while traveling, as I use a chromebook for that.
