Is buying Sony TV worth a lakh reasonable and safe online? People have bad experiences with laptops too. Should I consider offline only.

P. S. I live 50 KM away from Reliance Digital and chroma / vijay sales are not present there.

Other local stores are there and I have access to CSD canteens too.

Please suggest.

Buy Offline, preferably Sony Centre or Croma/RD will also near match the online prices. Worth the hustle of travelling to&fro 50 kms for a TV costing more than a lakh.

Online purchases have no major limitations when compared to offline if the deal is right

I have purchased 5 USHA fans online in 2 orders. 3 came from a seller and 2 came from another seller. The 2 are making noise withing 3 months. I reached support and they said, if it was purchased offline, direct replacement is done. As it is purchased offline, it can't be replaced, the binding is replaced, the motor is replaced but still the issue is not resolved. It costed 3500.
Although I have purchased many thing online like Fridge/Microwave/Mixer/Kitchen Sink/Geysers, I am unsure. There are 100s issues people have faced with laptops & TV specifically. That's why I am concerned. Saving 2-5K is not worth hassle of online.

Okay, if this is your concern and you have doubts about after sale service then it is always better to go by offline purchases..
Ultimately mental peace important for anyone..

Note: I had never visited any physical shop to buy anything significant in the last 10 years or so..every single thing i bought online..but i choose the seller very carefully...

If it is still LED-LCD panel, then please skip. At 1 lakh either get Mini-LED series or OLED, otherwise you can skip. During BBD sales, you can also find good deals offline on OLED and Mini-LED TVs.

I am more inclined towards Bravia due to exceptional display, but as this TV needs to placed in living room with ample amount of direct & indirect light, I don't think bravia LED are good options. Bravia OLED are too costly. Please suggest what are other option within my budget.

IMO sony is overpriced. With the display tech evolving, I chose a TCL 55" QLED last year for around 32K. 55" Bravia with similar Picture Quality would have costed me around 80K and I would have to use it for at least 10 years.
Earlier we had a 32" Bravia from 2011.
I intend to use the TCL for 5-6 years and then another buy Latest tech TV.
My personal opinion would be if you can't afford Sony or Samsung OLED, there are cheap options available in the market. Use them for 5-6 years and again get a new one.

No no, so the links are generated by Youtube affiliate. Kind of Youtube feature when you have a lot of subscribers.

They normally work and gives good percentage of commission on purchases made using Flipkart and Myntra.

I just wished to know if there are any restrictions as such in sales on affiliate links.

Why not LG oled? I heard bravia 5 also launched with mini led display and is a cheaper option as compared to 7 and 9 series. please check. expect a price drop during sale. if you can negotiate, them better

But, seems like op like signature image processing by Sony only, so it's better that he invest in it only. With that high budget, I would have bought LG Oled 55" tv instead of Somy tho
