I daily drive the Galaxy tab S9. It's probably the best Android tablet I have used. I have the 12G/256G variant.

But the gst change will not change the MRP on the already manufactured goods i.e. Old stock. Only the new manufactured ones will get the benefit and it will take time for those goods to hit the market. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I remember when GST was first introduced that time on midnight Big Bazaar said we will give GST bill so they closed shop on 9pm and opened their shop on midnight with GST so the existing stock which had normal mrp at 9pm were all changed to GST by midnight so I think GST will come on existing products also

It's like petrol price rise. If petrol price is raised, all petrol bunk implements immediately. If petrol price is lowered by govt, the price reduction will not be implemented till existing stock sold. It's their business, their logic.

I bought a 2-in-1 chromebook for 14K from FK during Aug sale. It has become my primary device now (with linux activated). Its definitely better than an android tab. After watching me use it in office, one of my colleague, who is a die hard apple guy, also promptly bought one.

Let's check this by taking an SS of some product pricing now and later during the sale.
I have taken a laptop SS. Lets not post here now.

I too dont know the technicalities here..
But what I believe is: there is some sort of govt push / encouragement/ an assurance from the govt side to these retailers / merchants with regard to this retail sales from the average consumer point of view. Govt wants to see the visibility of these rates reduction which should be derived from the gst reduction considering what is happening globally with regard to Tariffs by increasing g domestic consumption..., otherwise we won't see this sale postponement...

Yes, may be a minor reduction in prices as GST slab impact

Summary:

1) Mobile Phones and Laptops = No change in Prices as the GST rate remains the same
2) TV, AC , Dishwasher - There will be some price reduction from Sept 22..

This has been available at around 20K for last 4-5 mths and was available during last sale at 14K. It is a chromebook 2-in-1 and runs most android apps and also linux apps. The browser works on full desktop mode, so can handle all sites, including online e-office sites and govt sites. The form factor makes it very easy to carry and keyboard, though small, has a good feedback.
