FYI: for those who did payment through OTP and didn’t got cashback due to wrong Merchant on payment page..
for me SBI manually added 9% rewards after escalating to nodal officer

Yep. Hold three cards including this. Surprisingly this one's limit is even more than CB. Approved in a day through vkyc. Received message of approval after 3 days since I applied on Friday.

How to Check Your PhonePe SBI Select (Black) Credit Card Application Status​

If you try to track your application status using the official SBI Card tracking link – https://www.sbicard.com/en/eapply/track-credit-card-application.page – it usually shows the error:

Even if you enter the correct application number received via SMS, it will still show this error.


✅ To correctly check your application status, follow these steps:

1. Open the SBI Card App on your phone.
2. Go to the “More” section from the bottom menu.
3. Select “Benefits”.
4. Tap on “Avail New Card”.
5. Here, you will see your application status along with the same application number that you received via SMS.

In my case, I applied through the PhonePe app, and the application number shown in the SBI Card app matched the one I received via SMS.

When i clicked on avail new card option it is not showing application status, showing new Cards for apply

Yes, it's an issue with all SBI cards, not limited to Cashback. I have had my SimplyClick and BPCL Octane applications rejected because of the same.

I applied the card through sprint, upon entering few basic personal details it said I’m existing customer and show bunch of cards to apply, I clicked back and redirected to sprint again. I have filled residential and office address. Not gave the option to vkyc or anything. Application submitted. Does any other verification happen for existing customers or they simply give the card based on eligibility ?
