Hello,

I recently got a yes credit card and I wanted to know what the repercussions are for spending more than the credit limit. By that I mean, you have 1L limit and you spent it all and clear the limit by making imps/neft/bbps payments and spending more. I remember seeing a post on here or on the subreddit that someone got a sms by yes bank as a sort of warning for spending more than the limit given to them in a month. I wanted to know what triggered that message and what happened after so if anyone has personally received said sms or knows the person who got please tag them.

How long did you wait before doing next transaction?. You should atleast wait till its settled. Mostly 2-3 days. If not they will charge you for overlimit facility. But afaik, yes bank removed that feature from may 1st.

It isn't a case of overlimit. I spend 100% of my limit, I pay it off via NEFT, get my limit freed up and again spend more. Yes Bank does not like this for some reason as if they give you 1L as your limit, you should only spend 1L in a month. Regardless of you paying it off and what not.
