You take a NCEMI Online -> The EMI settles within 1-3 Days -> Login to Mycards and Click on Preclose the EMI -> an EMAIL will be recieved "Preclosure request related to your HDFC Bank Credit Card." -> The next day Pay the Amount mentioned in the Email , -> Say as per Below email i am supposed to pay 27363.08 by 28th April -> after doing that The amounts charged like Preclosure charges -> pro-rata interest -> Emi convertion charges will get reverted within 3 working days ( ie by 2nd May) .The GST paid for EMI processing fee wont be reverted. total loss 53.71 ruppes . (18% of 299/-)

Is this only for No cost EMI ?

I did normal emi with 16% interest, should I also follow same procedure or this is only for NCEMI?

Can you guys please comment how much amount would I get after I pre-close the EMI whose details are as follows, and whether post EMI closure, HDFC would restore the reward points or not?

On 17th June, 2025, I bought an electronic appliance from Croma using my Tata Neu Infinity credit card and chose the Low-Cost EMI for 6 months to get around ₹6,000 instant discount, whose summary is as follows:

The total amount debited from my card was ₹37,613.33.

As I'm aware, HDFC provides only 1.5% NeuCoins instead of 5% on only the principal amount (even if it's a Tata brand) once the amount is converted to EMI.

On 20th June, the whole amount (₹37,613.33) was shown as a credit in the statement and converted to EMI, whose summary is as follows:

Hi everyone, I went to LG showroom. They are offering me Low cost EMI only. There is no option for NCEMI. May I know if NCEMI trick would also work on it. They are giving 10% cashback upto 4k

Mostly they don't give upfront discount and will credit cashback after 3-4 months. So, there is a chance, they may deny cashback if emi gets cancelled in between ig.
 
For NC EMI, now, some sites are giving cashback at the end of EMI tenue(IIUC) instead of giving an upfront discount for NC EMIs.

Does anyone know if we still get the cashback after NC EMI cancellation? There is an NCEMI offer for MacBook with Axis, ICICI and Kotak cards.

Maybe they are going with cashback instead of NC EMI discount, to fix this loophole.
