I think you wont need a cold wallet if you have a isolated hot wallet. just create a wallet with 24 words and keep it safe..
Transfer funds from a middle dummy wallet to isolated wallet and never connect that isolated wallet to any site or never swap anything in that and you should be good for 10 years

Hope I'm not late to the party xD. I'm currently using a cypherock X1, got everything I need. I don't need to protect my seedphrase like a newborn baby, and in case something goes wrong with me, my heirs will be able to access my fund. Been a year almost and it has been working well for me
