HDFC Credit Cards Need help with hdfc card closures suggestion

If you can't afford Rs. 118 per year chargeable card, you must not take any credit card.

Dumb people always starts discussion on millennia and that's a wonderful card with the lowest ever fees.

Have asked the op in the very first page, he hasn't responded.

Yes I did you really think I'm closing a card for 118 rs

As many have pointed out, closing Millennia isn't a good idea. It's only GST every year if you can't spent 1 lac.

I'll suggest 2 things:

1. Call CC and request to raise an LTF request for you. They will say it won't be processed then simply tell them "that's fine, please just open an LTF request for me, thank you". Be very polite. Once they raise the request, it'll be successful most probably. I've converted my Millennia and UPI cards LTF just like this 2 months ago.
2. Once the request is closed, convert the card to Rupay. It'll help you reach the milestones faster.

Also, you'll get reward points if you've paid the annual fee.



Edit: Apparently HDFC has quietly updated it's TnC document that no more reward points on annual fee. But the website is still not updated.

So, you are telling that you didn't received cashback for the annual fees paid, so then mail grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com for it and get the cashback, don’t think of closing it.

Interesting. So they have updated TnC but not their website. Pretend you didn't read this document and you can still argue for reward points.

Yeah they updated t&c but not the page but still I remember I never got charged nor paid when I had millennia and also now trying to get millennia RUPAY as floater on DCBM,
Today only got the call for it from state head that we need approval for two core cards.

They have recently made the changes and that is only in there t&c, not on card page.
