Hi everyone,

I’m seeking advice on securing the ICICI Sapphiro Credit Card as Lifetime Free (LTF) based on my profile. This community’s insights are invaluable, and I’d appreciate your guidance!

My Profile:

- Salary: ₹1.4 lakh/month (net)

- ICICI Relationship (8+ years):
- Salaried account
- ULIP plan (₹50K/year premium)
- Land loan (₹10 lakh, regular repayments)
- ICICI Credit Cards:
- Amazon Pay Card: ₹6.5L limit (LTF)
- HPCL Super Saver Card: ₹3.6L limit

- Other:
- CIBIL: 804 (clean credit history)
- My company is on ICICI’s listed tie-up for LTF cards.
- Not eligible for Alumni Program.

Attempts So Far:
- Applied through my Relationship Manager (RM) and contacted the Customer Care (CC) team, but they said LTF Sapphiro isn’t showing as an option while salting the card.

- In iMobile’s upgrade section, I only see Emerald paid cards (Visa/MC variants) and HPCL Super Saver (which I already hold), no Sapphiro.

Goal: Get Sapphiro LTF without Wealth Management or large deposits (₹10L+).

Questions:

1. My salary (₹1.4L) is below the ₹1.5L threshold, but my company is listed. Can I negotiate LTF using my 8+ year ICICI relationship, ₹10.1L total credit limits, or listed company status?

2. Has anyone with a similar profile (sub-₹1.5L salary, listed company) gotten Sapphiro LTF? What steps worked (e.g., escalations, branch visits)?

3. Any tips for escalating to senior management or reliable contacts for LTF approval?

4. If LTF isn’t possible, is First Year Free (FYF) Sapphiro feasible with my profile?

Is there a way, your one month salary could be 1.5 lakh plus? Like getting some bonus or something. If yes, use that salary slip next month to apply from the campaign where they are providing LTF cards to corporate employees. Else you have to take Rubyx and wait for offer to get it upgraded to Saphiro.

I applied few months back and they asked me only one month salary slip.
 
I'm currently holding rubyx (MC+AMEX) with LTF. I was getting salary of 75k when I received these cards. In app it's showing like 6.5k Joining fee and 3.5k Annual fee. My RM told like currently it is showing 3.5k joining and annual fee, have to spend 4.5L to meet the fee waiver if I applied through him. He said when I crosses 1L per month salary (currently 90k), he would get it for LTF. Currently I'm getting calls from ICICI for FYF cards and annual fee from 2nd year to upgrade my Rubyx.
Note: Iwant to upgrade Sapphiro to get 2 international lounge access with addon card.

Where is the place to apply in net banking? Where does campaign run?
I have a salaried account in icici with corporate tie up and 1.5 lakh credit still I don't get an option

When I entered all details and verified otp phone it says you are eligible and representative will connect. Is this how it is?
Should I have just called my rm rather than doing this way?

Hi, my net credit in ICICI account is 1L plus, but last month changed employer and received 1.5 plus this month, employer is listed in list in link above and will receive 1L each month now, can I get sapphiro ltf basis one month credit?
Currently hold rubyx ltf. Getting preapproved sapphiro and emerald paid.

I would like to update that my ICICI Sapphiro Credit Card (Lifetime Free) application got approved, and I've received the card! 🎉💳

Here’s how I approached it:
  1. Connected with my home branch manager to express interest in the LTF variant.
  2. Through the manager, I was able to get in touch with the Credit Card team.
  3. After some follow-up and sharing my profile details, the LTF approval came through!
Really appreciate the help from everyone here.
