BBPS is UPI of Bill payment system in India.

Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) is an integrated bill payment system in India offering interoperable and accessible bill payment service to customers through a network of agents of registered member as Agent Institutions (AI), enabling multiple payment modes, and providing instant confirmation of payment.

By the way BBPS is now called "NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL)". NBBL is also "for-Profit" company.

NBBL is now separate company from NPCI and has a different CEO.

@Abhishek012, I just wanted to confirm....there are two NPS accounts. One is where we can put Max 50000 annually for tax benefit and in the other we can put any amount at any time and withdraw any time. People will be equipped with the necessary resources accordingly
