Ask the technician to bring vacuum pump and vacuum the system for at least 30 mins. Search on youtube about ac vacuum pump you'll find plenty of videos on it.

All AC ideally should be like that. The biggest mess up happens during installation. Several technicians don't vacuum the system after installation, which is super important. Check all pipe joints with bubble test.

I ordered an AC from Amazon and booked the installation through them. They assigned a third-party technician, and things went downhill from there. The agent messed up the installation — the AC stopped working within 30 minutes due to a gas leak. He even took a part of the AC with him and left the unit exposed.

When I contacted Lloyd, they claimed no responsibility, saying I’d have to pay an additional ₹2,000 for repairs. By then, I had already paid ₹1,500 to Amazon and an additional ₹2,000 in cash during the installation. After several complaints and warnings of a potential consumer court case, Amazon finally agreed to reimburse the amount Lloyd was charging.


To top it off, the original technician showed up 5–6 days later and casually returned the part, saying he had “accidentally” taken it.

To add to this point. There is no extra cost charged by any AC company for vacuum, it's included in installation service charges. And also it's a mandatory procedure for every AC installation. So, don't let installation people fool you.

At my primary home, it's only Samsung AC in all rooms, bedrooms having 1.5 ton 5 star inverter AC & hall room have 2 ton 5 star inverter AC. It's been couple of years & no issue faced.

At my other homes, it's mix of Samsung & Blue Star. Servicing of Samsung is good in my city, can't say same about Blue star.

I am thinking of buying blue star AC Q-series. 1.5 ton 5 star for my own room.
