Late Payment reminders

I have been a CC user since 10+years. I have never missed any payment (800+on CIBIL). This month, somehow, I missed the payment on 2 of my new Credit Cards. I am hoping that I can request them to reverse the information they must have sent to the rating agencies by now. And secondly to reverse the charges as well.

1. PNB - I got to know about this 5 days post the due date through their message. They did not send me any reminders in those 5 days. I have paid the bill after 5 days.
2. AU Bank - They did not send any notification about bill payment through SMS/Email/Call at all. I only got to know about 25 days later when the card was declined.

Are their any RBI guidelines on payment reminders which banks are required to send?

Is there any way I can clear this mess?

No the reminder service is provided by banks on a best service basis only no rule by rbi

Fell into a same situation today. I have only 1 card that falls due on an odd date and I rarely use it. I used it last month and forgot to pay as it skipped my mind. It was only ₹938 and the bank did not send any payment reminder/sms. They deducted late payment fee of ₹590 and sent a message today after 5 days... I guess they would charge interest too later.. I have paid the full outstanding including charge immediately on receipt of this message. Can anything be done? I have sent a mail to customer care... Will my cibil be hit... This has happened for the first time in my 9 years of credit history...

Initially I set 2 reminders, one on 28th and other on 5th of every month to check every card pay the bills generated as on these dates. But now there is no need for reminders as I've been habituated to pay the bills on respective dates.
