What did you buy or explain those both transactions.
Cashback.webp

Received CB for the Clothing (both were within a single order)
Did NOT receive for the Philips Teats

BTW the sellers are NOT Amazons' retailers like Appario or Clicktech etc, not sure if this matters in determining whether it shows "WWW AMAZON IN" or "AMAZON PAY INDIA PRIVATE" on payment.

Well seems like that transaction got tagged as wallet mcc, happens often in amazon. Nothing can be done now. Sad for your loss.

I was just thinking, if supposing a txn showed narration as "Amazon Pay", if I cancelled the order and placed it again, is there a chance it could change to "www amazon in" ?

69 mujhe ajkal DM nehi karta.

That trick is over, amazon is clever now.

Nowadays, they show amazon.in in OTP

After that, transaction can change into 3 MCCs.
I have noticed that whatever they show in otp page it normally carry that mcc irrespective of what they show in transaction successfull page. Most probably, they have fixed set of mcc for some time in different purpose/pages and that doesn't change even if we see different merchant name.

For example while buying agv we get usual name (5399) but later changed it to WWW AMAZON IN but mcc remain 5399. Similarly in wallet also mcc remain 6540 irrespective of what they display in txn page or otp page.
