Totally wrong. Virtual DC is completely different from physical DC with a different number, expiry and CVV. If one chooses to use only the virtual DC, then the physical DC can be closed.

I just opened the account. Even the Virtual DC has not been generated yet. So, now you tell me, how was I supposed to know this?

If you opened 811 super directly, then wait for 7-8 days, you will receive physical DC and cheque book and virtual will be generated in few days.

Both have same numbers, so it doesn't matter whichever you use.

If you upgraded your account from 811, then you will see 2 virtual cards.

2 virtuals are - 1 is basic 811 and another one is 811 super.

If the latest subscription fee has been deducted from your account after funding ₹5K then virtual will be generated in about 4-5 working days.

You will receive separate email/sms for the cheque book and the physical debit card. Kotak use bluedart for delivery, so it should arrive fairly quickly.

Just activate any DC and start using it. Both are same, doesn't matter.

Virtual DC doesn't refer to the details of your physical card that you see in the app. The card you see on the app, where it's explicitly written as "Virtual Card", is the actual virtual card, which the other guy was referring to.

The physical card details don't appear until it's generated, however, the virtual card details show up in the app as soon as the super account is created.

In other banks (say HDFC), the user can see the physical card details in the app. Who would be so dumb to treat them separately as physical and virtual card, come on?
