I just redeemed Kalyan Rs 2000 vouchers (Total 8 vouchers), here is my experience.
Went to stroe with family and enquired about the voucher redeeption process, they asked to mail coupons. I decided first to look out for planned purchases and then proceed along with coupons.
Meantime I gathered the info about voucher codes -
Code format - KGJ1234567 or KGJ12345678901 where the KGJ stands for Kalyan Gold Jewellery meaning no silver or gold coins allowed. SIlver vouchers will be staring with KS and gold coins voucher will start with KGC, this was told by cashier at very end of my visit.
Initially they told me only Gold allowed, I selected a 2 gm coin and 2 gm ear rings for my daughter (2 + 2 Gms each) knowing what was about to come during billing. Post selection went to billing and cashier asked to forward all emails to their store specific ID. I forwarded one, confirmed receipt and asked to check about code. He assured me that it will not have any issue. I around same time asked if I can use my AMEX Plat Travel, he said no issues. One by one I forwared all 8 emails that I received.
He asked me to sit, offred all tea/coffee and introduced about the other monthly schemes they have. I observed he did call to someone and spoke in different laguage (prolly Tamil), I asked any issues and he said they are new store and this is their first time for vouchers too. Store is just 1 month old. I continued waiting. After some time they asked for Aadhar copies of each, as per email names mentioned - names which Rupay send the mails to or one we registered on Rupay site. I gave them all Aadhar copies, they took Xerox of each, printed all emails and attached to bill copy later.
The email contains all info, I was worried about weather they will ask me to do payment via same band DC (its mentioned in terms and conditions) but somehow was okay with any payments, I was about to hit my Amex Plat Travel milestone so went ahead with it, no issues with it.
This is my first review / thread, ignore the typos and contructive writing. Mods if its in wrongs section - move it to appropriate one.
Please feel free to ask for any specific question.
Overall, I think they only want codes but to keep the records they might be needing the emails and IDs to avoid any in future issues. In case someone using other users vouchers, they can but have to firm about it belonging to family/friends, but YMMV. Cheers!!
