Just middle class things!

Some games that we played... using the then peculiar but popular and prevalent terminology... during our childhood...
  • Piththoo
  • Chupan Chupai (Hide and Seek) (especially during power cuts at night)
  • Gulli Danda
  • Kanchey (many versions)
  • Patang (and "pecha" with other kites)
  • Pakdam Pakdai
  • Stapu
  • "Posham Pa" ("Posham Pa Bhai Posham Pa... Daakiye ne kya kiya... 100 rupaye ki ghadi churayee... ab toh jail me jana padega..!)
  • Dak Dak Kiski Dak (while selecting teams prior to a game)
  • Gallery
  • Maaram Pitti
  • Cutting the cake
  • Kho Kho
  • Kabaddi
  • Langdi Taang
  • Oonch Neech ka Papda
  • Vish Amrit
  • Chor Police
  • Statue
  • Darts (not on the dart board but on the wooden doors and windows - especially during Diwali with red dot crackers)
  • Rang Chit (especially during election season by using the political parties'/candidates' cards - and having a collection)
  • Ghoda Ghoda (mounting on partner's back and making the other duo fall, any which way...!)
  • Sack Race
  • Gadam Gadai (taking an iron rod as far as possible by throwing it so that it lands erect on the ground during rainy season...!)
  • Lattoo
  • Tyre tyre (simply making a tyre run on its own by pushing it and/or tapping it with a wooden rod)
  • Car Car (by tying a string to an empty mithai dibba and loading it with mud/stones/etc as load or passengers)
  • Dinky Cars (especially on rajai on bed)
  • Playing cards - rummy, coat-pees, bluff, patte pe patta, teen patti (without any money), etc
  • Business
  • Ludo
  • Saanp Seedi (Snakes and Ladders doesn't sound as much fun...!)
  • Chess
  • Carrom
  • And later, video games like Mario, Gradius, Tanks, Contra, Pacman, Frogger, etc
  • And some hobbies like - stamp collection, coin collection, match box labels' collection, comics' collection, etc
Aah... Nostalgiaaahh...! 🙂
