Naah, I'll thank communists/socialists coz the countries where they themselves rule where there isn't any capitalism, those countries are today 3rd world countries and every few decades those countries go though civil war.

You want operators to give products where you decide the price. Well, jokes on you.

Nothing comes out of an ideology like communism and it's sister socialism, specially when we all know both these ideologies were openly allies of Hitler Nazis.
who launched for free and killed competition then started charging....Providing free is socialism....your knowledge is very poor...

Don't want to criticize you but you should not forget that If they hadn't launched for free and then charge meagre average Rs.110-150 per month for next 5 years, you would have already shelled out Rs.300 per month for 300 mins of calls and 1-2GB data.

On an average leaving those 10-20 waley customers aside which were 2-5% of total customer base, average spending by people were 250-300 per month for nothing.

If Jio was not here, currently for 10GB 5G people would be paying as high as Rs.900 per month and for 1GB 5G, 350/month.

So yes, jinko zyada nahi pata ya jinhone phone hi use karna first time Jio ka free ya sasta dekh ke tha unko mehenga hi lagega. Agar price zyada ;ag raha hai toh Govt ko jaake keh do ki spectrum ke 3.5 Lakh crore lene ki kya jarurat thi? Uske upar 8% SUC aur 6% revenues mein share kyu lete ho. janta ke paise se bani BSNL ko kyu down rakhtey ho.

Janaab har cheez ke liye telcos zimmewar nahi hai. Sarkaar un se paisa maang ti hai woh hum se hi lenge.

Yes I remember paying 300 for 1gb data for 1 month and using the data like water in desert. There were many other operators then but now it is almost a duopoly.

Have you used reliance cdma prepaid small handset for unlimited calling national and local (cdma to cdma+gsm)? I was looking to post some of those sasta monthly prepaid plans at 999 and more, but looks like even google written off those beautiful memories.

For a second I just ignored reading the Year part in post title and assumed this thread is about plan hike effective 3rd July for this year only. 😛

Oh sir. I still have that handset with me. Loved those Reliance CDMA phones. Then came Reliance GSM. That was the another turnaround moment. Cannot forget all those beautiful memories of 2004-2010-12 kind of times. So many changes all around.

I used to have tata indicom cdma handset those days. There was a bundled plan with handset which used to give 10 mins of local calling for 1/- and 10 mins of std calling for 3/-

Golden days indeed.

Got Reliance CDMA LG RD2230 free with Hero Honda Passion those days. Aaj tak chalta tha usme.

But if anyone of you remember correctly Rs.300 recharge used to give Rs.175 TT and Reliance had this habit of reducing balance to zero in few days without any usage.

In GSM also they kep deducting balance. Airtel, Idea and Vodafone were also chor with Airtel being the biggest as it had some midnight problem of Rs.1 deduction and later 0.50. Auto-VAS and what not.

Atleast with Jio illegal deduction of VAS stopped as one plan had everything.

If anyone remember Virgin Mobile GSM which used to give TT for incoming calls.

Kahani likhney pe aaya bhai toh ek book likh dunga. Koi operator tha hi nahi chahe GSM ya CDMA jisko naa use kiya ho. Himachal se sim liya tha Rs.5 mein 1GB CDMA pe 8-9 Mbps speed aati thi EVDO + mein. Dongle liya tha unlocked Tata Huawei EC315. Padi hai sab yaadien kisi koney mein. 😏

Bro, Hutch aur Uninor ne kya galti Kiya tha?
Airtel and Idea were more widespread when growing up in my area. When I came to Bengaluru then received Tata docomo sim from big bazaar. They had cashback kind of thing. After purchasing the sim would be recharged for some balance depending upon purchase value. Network of hutch and uninor were not as good.
