You know at the very first point how much you are getting and which form you need to fill and why...
never filled offline ITR, is it same as online or need to have more knowledge ?

So shall I copy alll from AiS or 26AS , if it's not prefilled

Have only salary income, so better to wait for online it seems?

If only salary income, then why are you not filling itr 1?

May be he has stcg so he was waiting for ITR 2
(But other people are not aware in the forum, why itr2 for your case.)

Lol, can anyone think of a reason why I cannot file ITR 1 with only salary income?
Let's see
You continued the conversation with asking people to go at that level to find out why itr2
Usually the people who can't fill ITR 1 with salary income - (comes into this kind of categories)
Add this point when you exceed the expectations and disclosed only 1 condition of why you are filing itr 2 based only on salary at 50 lakh plus
Congratulations 🎉 👏
As you are getting salary alone above 50 lakh plus, means you have certain expertise, that's why you are being paid it's may be your professional degree your experience or your specialise skills...
Very few are into this league...(Achievement)..👍🤗

Nice but I would like to see proof of claims made here. 🙂
Is this sarcastic?
Now instead of feeling appreciation, you felt it's being sarcastic..
That's it.

@hender Bro, some topics are better left for one's own peace. 🙂

Anyways, maybe by tomorrow i.e Monday, ITR 2 online filling will start online or by Tuesday and also the common utility for ITR 1 to 4 will be updated which auto-fetches info.

Besides this, I have prepared .json with excel utility. Will upload tomorrow afternoon after 1PM and eVerify.

I saw that, ITR 1, I filled for family members and other known (incl. friend), submitted in morning got processed next day morning while the one submitted after 1PM were instantly processed. It was same experience last year. Seems IT department processing becomes active after certain time only and not in morning. 🤣

Thanks for sharing Prof. ✔️✅👍

I have salary income, indian ltcg, stcg, us ltcg, stcg, us dividends, indian dividends, interest income.

Is this complex enough to hire a CA or should I DIY?

Better to take help of a CA to avoid few technical things which sometime we ignore/misinterpret as a DIY
Still you are confident and you did it in the past you can go ahead

NO NEED to go to a tax consultant or a CA - unless you have a serious problem or a legally enforceable Notice from ITD.

IT Filing is so simple. Mostly menus driven. Nothing much technical about it. Only thing is - you need to keep all your figures ready or should know where to get from. A calculator (on the PC or off it) is a must. A couple of white sheets and a pen is all what you need. And, about 1 hour for newbeies. Or half an hour max for experienced guys.

In the time you go to an outsider and seek his help (by giving him all your confidential data and details including IT login credentials), you can do it yourself online or offline. I suggest download the ITD's offline utility, install it on your PC/laptop and do the entry. It's easy. And, this knowledge will be there with you FOREVER. EVERY YEAR YOU NEED TO DO IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. YOURS AND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. SO, YOU SHOULD KNOW AND SPEND SOME TIME IN KNOWING IT FULLY.

I am a Botany University Topper. Became a Techno-Banker. Been doing ITax related work since 1984. For all of us, (8 in the family) since then. Just imagine the time, effort and money saved in the last 40 years, for all of us. It's like learning driving. It's a must.

Your Experience is more than (Many Ca's) combined experience.
Even it's double the age of many of us here.
Not saying (E = M C 2)
but it's REALLY a Legendary achievement of more than 4 decades, filling ITR for self and family....
You have seen the Era before Computer 🖥️, Now it's 5G in Mobile...
Speechless 🤐 🤭
