I heard somewhere that AmEx offers a companion card as LTF. Is it rue and if yes, then what is the procedure to obtain it. I have a Platinum Reserve card currently.

you can get amex MRCC as a companion card at no extra cost. but for that you have to wait ... right now amex can't issue cards.
I have Amex MRCC and got amex SmartEarn (LTF) as a companion card.

Your card will become chargable if you close your main card.... (but amex might change this rule... so confirm from amex after you get yours)

Any news of giving LTF MRCC cards to users on ITR basis like the old offer which was there in 2017,2018 and 2019 ?

If I take paid MRCC card now and later the offer for LTF MRCC comes based on ITR , do I need to close my existing MRCC and apply for the new MRCC or the existing MRCC can be converted to LTF MRCC ?
No only with platinum charge you can get it free
