I have been receiving lot of dms regarding IOB account opening process and for RSDC.
So putting everything in one thread.

Account opening process
1. Open this link

https://vkyc.iob.in/customerVkyc

Choose account variant - SAVINGS ACCOUNT - PUBLIC
its mab is very low 100/200 only without chequebook

2. Fill all ur personal details.
UnTick debit card
Untick chequebook
Tick netbanking and mobile banking

3. Submit application and do video kyc.

4. U will receive user id password of netbanking in the mail after account opening usually takes 3 to 1week.

5. In netbanking, apply...

And for v-kyc, I got call to check email with customised link. Opening it asked location and camera access, and done. No otp, nothing.

with this link, account opened without vkyc and 2 emails received. One is saying to visit branch to complete kyc and other containing net banking information. 😕

Did u tried linking upi, set PIN using aadhar, logged INB, allowing debit trxn?

just apply debit card from netbanking. normal account ki tarah hi hai, kisi din free ho tab chale jana branch kyc ke liye.

Okay. So should I apply first rupay classic dc or directly Rupay select dc? and is there any time limit to complete the kyc by visiting branch?

Weirdly, IOB net banking is not working on my wifi, but works on mobile data. Now I've applied for Rupay Classic DC and Rs 177 deducted. When can I give request for upgrade to RSDC? After card receiving, or when card is generated in the system ? @Ram1

After 3 4 days, apply upgrade

@Ram1 @zomatoo In IOB app I can see that they have issued rupay platinum card instead of classic 🥲
However, fee is not deducted yet and there is an option in app to replace card, after clicking replace it gives option to select all variant cards including rupay select.
If I go ahead with replace card and select rsdc then will fees for this rpdc be charged?

The thing is card no is visible but no charges deducted till now also instead of classic they issued platinum so 250 for that should have been deducted na

That's y I was wondering if I apply for replace now then any charges for platinum be deducted or straightaway 350 charges for replacement rsdc😆

Can u tell when was 150+ gst for classic was deducted from ur account, like on the day when u received account details on mail or later
