I am planning to purchase a new phone from Oman, will be using my Atlas on a website with currency being OMR.
Will I incur both Forex and DCC charges, also willI be eligible for base edge miles?

You'll be charged only forex transaction fee of 3.5% + gst

You will be eligible for base miles but this transaction won't be net positive( if accor very minimal)

If you're in that country, swipe the card at the pos and select " inr" to get charged in dcc and save on charges.

Thanks a lot for confirming, I will be converting to accor, I think I'll bite and get it with Atlas.

Guys help me understand. I need to send some dollars to my family in the US. If I use Axis Atlas for the same will I be charged 3.5% up and above the 1% the portals like remit charge at their end?

What portal is it?

Based on what you said , yes, you will be charged both.

One is forex conversion from inr to dollars and second is the charge the site is taking to provide you with the service
