INSANE 7 TO 7.7% CASHBACK ON FUEL PURCHASES USING IDFC POWER+CC

Same here, got additional points when paid with wallet balance
Is HP pay running another campaign from this month? I refueled petrol worth 2600 today using HP pay app and first i got 26 happy coins which was expected but after that i got another message.

Thank you for participating in campaign on HP Pay. You have earned additional 104 Happy Coins as campaign reward.

So basically instead of 0.25% as happy coins they gave 1.25% happy coins of 2600.

Actually the HP dealer is to be blamed here. Some HP dealers deliberately rig their pos machines to fail credit card transactions to avoid paying the MDR charges. Same thing happened to me the first time I tried the card. The swipe machine read failed transaction even though my card was active and the guy insisted me to pay using his paytm qr code. Apparently they do not have to pay high MDR charges if paid using paytm QR code. Same problem happens at many other petrol pumps too be it BPCL/IOCL/HPCL. Many fellow TF members have complained about being unable to redeem BPCL Octane card's reward points because the petrol pump doesnt have the correct POS machine. To overcome this issue HPCL has pasted their own qr codes on the walls. This eliminates the whole POS machine hassle while also giving more return. If the petrol pump guy denies using the QR code for HP pay then u can email a complain to HP website. The manager will himself call u and apologise( real story..read it somewhere is reddit). HPCL is minting huge money through their cobranded cards in the market. They r more than happy when customer uses HP pay app. Currently HP pay app+IDFC PP card is the most rewarding and smooth process among all fuel cards.
I convert my bpcl octane points into 250rs of bpcl voucher for every 1000RPs which i load to BPCL app wallet. Then while fueling I will tell petrol bunk to enter my mobile number in their POS machine for which I will get OTP which is keyed in the machine. So no worries in using BPCL rewards

SBI bpcl Octane is good card especially if ur monthly fuel spends r high enough to compensate for the high annual fees of Rs.1499 plus gst. Because just to cover the annual fees u have to spend atleast Rs.24400 on fuel (assuming 7.25% valueback). Few TF members have pointed out that not all bpcl fuel pumps have the correct POS machine to redeem the points. This is in contrast to IDFC PP card where the annual fees is just Rs.499 plus gst and u get instant confirmation of the reward points once the amount gets settled in the app.

I am using bpcl octane card add on card procured through my wife's primary card for last 3 years and have never paid renewal fees. Trick is to call customer care before 10-15 days before renewal fee charging month and request for waiver of annual fees and they will respond to call us after the charge is levied. Once it is levied call them again quoting your previous conversation where they promised to waive the renewal fees, now they will create a service request and your fees will be reversed in 2-3 days. This trick worked for my normal bpcl and simply click cards as well for past 3-4 years. Since i spend more than waiver limit using my sbi cashback I did not try but the trick should work as well. Alternatively you can raise closure request before renewal and customer care will call you why closure. You can inform of high renewal fees and they will respond to call after renewal fees is levied which will get reversed as well after you make a call request to waive the fees quoting the previous conversation. This trick also worked for me
