For transactions in Foreign, never withdraw cash from ATMs. they charge you loads of fee (all banks) - instead swipe the card for purchases. If you want physical cash approach some Fx agencies at airports/banks and get cash. That is the cheapest and best way.i want to travel abroad i.e dubai i want to withdraw cash from atm to buy electronics so i decided to take indie visa signature debit card with zero forex markup will it work outside india has anyone tried
Comparing foreign exchange rates at the airport with withdrawing from an ATM using Indie, Indie will offer better rates. For transactions in Foreign, never withdraw cash from ATMs. they charge you loads of fee (all banks) - instead swipe the card for purchases. It works, but if you can swipe, that would be the better option.i want to travel abroad i.e dubai i want to withdraw cash from atm to buy electronics so i decided to take indie visa signature debit card with zero forex markup will it work outside india has anyone tried
you can use seamlessly, i have tried it 2 months before in AbuDhabi. In ATM, it will show corresponding amount in INR after converting with higher conversion rate (around 7-10% extra depending on the banks) and will ask us "whether to continue to with this conversion rate or not", just click "NO". Then I will dispense cash with Visa rate only. When I used, there was a difference of only 1 paise compared to google rate.i want to travel abroad i.e dubai i want to withdraw cash from atm to buy electronics so i decided to take indie visa signature debit card with zero forex markup will it work outside india has anyone tried

its just Rs.125/- still cheaperNow they have changed the T&C - ATM withdrawal also has fixed charges, better to do direct swipe.

First I have tested with 100 AED on 2 seperate ATM (different banks), and both got deducted at the rate 22.69 compared to 22.68 of google rate. Then I made a withdrawal of 7K AED, that was also done with same rate and no further charges were deducted.thanks for your information could you please elaborate means how much cash you have withdrawn and what is the rate at that time and how much you got
It'll work fine don't worry. I have used it at foreign ATMs and works great.i want to travel abroad i.e dubai i want to withdraw cash from atm to buy electronics so i decided to take indie visa signature debit card with zero forex markup will it work outside india has anyone tried
It's the worst way to exchange money. Forex counters at airports give worst exchange rates. Zero forex dc like indie megastar dc is best. Also indus exclusive dc.For transactions in Foreign, never withdraw cash from ATMs. they charge you loads of fee (all banks) - instead swipe the card for purchases. If you want physical cash approach some Fx agencies at airports/banks and get cash. That is the cheapest and best way.
Used in Thailand without issues. Will use in UAE, France & Low countries in August.have you used it anywhere in abroad means like uae or dubai
You have to maintain 50K unbSB or 2L FD to call yourself an Indie MegastarIf we load 50k to start account does the megastar tier remain forever or how it works
I have a doubt regarding Debit Card. 0 forex markup is the feature of Visa signtaure debit card that we get when we are on megastar tier . Even if we are degraded we still have the physical debit card , so will we be still able to shop from abroad with 0 forex or not?You have to maintain 50K unbSB or 2L FD to call yourself an Indie Megastar
Even you get downgraded, most probably you will get 0 markup. It is because in their FAQ, it is mentioned that even after downgrade all signature dc facilities will remain until you hold signature dc. If you get downgraded, it's really easy to get back to megastar again without maintaining 50k.
