Unfortunately my institute is not mentioned here. Any RM you can connect me to, if not LTF then maybe some other offer like FYF or reduced annual fee

what benefits are you planning to extract from the Sapphiro?
I am asking as my sapphiro is rarely being used.

I don't have a ICICI card apart from amazon pay. i want to give up amazon pay because most places where ICICI has offers I don't get them because of amazon pay.

You can instead get coral or Rubyx LTF and keep both Apay and coral/Rubyx. Getting LTF Saphiro at your salary is almost impossible and honestly not worth it.
Apay is a valuable card even if you don't use it now, it can come handy any day.

if it is just for the ICICI offers then why don't you choose ICICI platinum which is a life time free card?

Look at the following link and you will be able to apply online.

And to get this card, you dont need to give up your Amazon pay Credit card.

I am holding 6 credit cards from ICICI bank.. so you can hold both ICICI Amazon pay and ICICI Platinum credit card.

if there is no particular need which can only be fulfilled by Sapphiro then better to go ahead with ICICI platinum chip for online offers of ICICI credit cards.

@Paul you can check coral as well. I remember I got coral rupay as LTF from the ICICI app itself.
This will help with UPI on Rupay CC expenses as well.

@prankster Thanks a lot for mentioning this Coral/Rubyx.

I was thinking to get a premium card as my most premium card is HDFC Privilege, hence wanted a premium card and eventually upgrade to better cards.

There is no upgrade process in ICICI like HDFC. You're either eligible or you're not! And Saphiro is a bad card anyway.

as you grow in monetary terms you will be able to get super premium cards as well..
Don't choose card just because it is premium or super premium..
choose cards as per your needs..

I have almost 20-21 Credit cards.. only 2 of them are paid rest other cards are LTF cards..

But frankly speaking, I mostly utilizes only 3-4 of them regularly.. like Tata Neu infinity, Airtel Axis (paid card), ICICI Amazon pay and Flipkart Axis..
Other cards like sapphiro, BOB eterna, regalia, yes Reserv, etc... I use them very rarely but I am keeping them as those are LTF for me..

Finally after doing calculation, I decided to go ahead with a super premium paid card but before that most of the cards were cashback cards which gave me good values till now.

So analyze your spendings and what card can give you best value instead of its status like premium or super premium.
Choose cards which can be best value for you.
Like Airtel Axis costs me 590 per year.. but i almost extract 700 rupees per month in value from this card. So it made sense to take this card as paid card as well..

ICICI can give you any card as per your eligibility..
I started with ICICI Amazon pay.. then got Coral rupay LTF.. then Sapphiro LTF (All 3 variants of Sapphiro) now recently I got Emeralde Private Metal (this is paid) but after I calculated I found that I can extract good value out of this card that's why went ahead with this..

You can put your spending patterns and what you want from your cards.. TF community members will be happy to help you in choosing the right card..

PS: Please don't consider this as a gyan but just giving you the perspective.. choose card to extract best value out of that card instead of choosing card as per its status.. 😉😉

PPS: TF community also spoils you.. I only had 2-3 cards before joining TF and now I have 21-22 cards. I joined in March 2023. So beware of this thing as well.. 🤣🤣

I completely agree with you. I think I'm going with ICICI platinum card only, no point spending on the annual fees. you made sense. Thanks a ton for bringing clarity on this matter.
