Card used to work with this type of machine.

I saw it was used mostly in airlines while in the air, when i used to buy food or duty free stuff. They swipe the card manually and take a print out, as the money was not cut right away. They finalize the bill later on after landing.

For high value transactions, they used to call their bank and take approval code since it was not online.

Approval code was then written by hand on charge slip.

I always cut the card in few big pieces and many small pieces near the card number, once card used to expire. Doubt I have any card which is expired. 😁

I don't have it right now but have so many pictures uploaded on Google photos so searched debit cards and found this.

Not much older but so many memories linked with these cards 😁

This trend of collecting different bank cards is kinda new in my opinion.
Talked to my father regarding this early credit cards, and he says that he got his first one in early 2000's, and used to cut and throw them post expiry.
I guess the oldest card I saw him still having was a sbi debit card issued in 2010's.

Cool, i might have payback cards these old.
Icici bank used to give them, they were good for big bazaar shopping.

I have few of them also.

I did a 2 hrs search today. Now my wife says i gotta clean my wardrobe tomorrow haha.

I am hoping to find some more cards. Will surely post here if worth posting.

And all these years I thought the card was issued by paytm. Never thought it as advertisement.

I have a psycho fantasy of burning old cards to ashes😈
Whenever a card expired or closed, same day I throw it in the flames and happily see it.
Most pleasurable one was Magnus Reserve, metal card burning in a flame, wahhh what an experience 😋
