Idfc account close

I have made Account zero balance in idfc and there is no charges pending .
What else to do before closing of account..
Confirmed with customer care .i can close at any branch .. .
Any experience?
Since i will be traveling to another city ..i want it to be closed without any hassle !

Contact customer care and ask them to send account closure link. Once you got the link click on it a form will open. Fill and submit the form, your account will be closed within 3 days.
Keep in mind they will try to convince you to not close the account. And may even say that it is not possible online. If so, say that one of your friend closed the account by this method.
If they still deny wait for 1 hour and call again eventually someone will do it.

I just called before seeing this ..
Directly said to share link for account closure she sent the link .
Done in 2 Mintues .
Faster than Maggi ..even bioling water in kettle 😂

My experience:

I was traveling to a new city and randomly saw IDFC branch there, just entered into the branch and asked the procedure to close my account, the representative took a signature on a form, that's it! Account got closed in 6 days.

But now no use ..
I got it for cc but sadly cc is hard to come by

Agree, my aim was getting pre-approved cc but it seemed like I'll never get it untill or unless they mark my pincode as serviceable which is rarely possible. So just closed it and currently having wow card for zero forex markup.

Search forum and their site. For conversion you have to visit branch as biometric/signature may be required.

I have also closed my idfc account online by just calling customer care
They asked me reason for closing
And one thing keep in mind agar close karna Hain to 1 or 2 tarik ko karna kisi bhi month ka
Before closing make sure that koi bhi balance even Paisa bhi nahi rehana chaiyeha
Aur ek baat different customer care will say you different things like one will say to go the branch and fill up the closure form another one will say that to send letter and closure form to any idfc branch by courier etc
Try to connect with perfect agent


Bar bar try karte raho call karke perfect agent mil hi jayega
Bas itna dhyan rakhna ki wo account main koi balance nahi honi chahiye aur month ke first or second day hi possible online closing


Maine bhi char mahine pehala apna account online close karwaya by calling customer care

Went to a branch. They said I need to pay ₹250 annually as card charges if I downgrade from 25k AMB to 10k AMB. The branch person stated asking me customer ID...when I asked why, he said he would check the relationship and would upgrade the relationship ...then I stopped him and told him what he would say after that...select, wealth and private and said that it's a waste of my time then he got freezed! Lol......I will close this account soon, with no mercy!

It usually means there is something stopping customer care to generate link .

Put your account to zero .
Maybe the redemption fees not deducted
There must be some service or service charges pending ...

Else if everything looks green in their system they can generate link & share



If account is near .go visit can be done in 2 Mintues there too on their tab.
If there is no problem ..call customer care u want to know about charges and services pending on account and u wanna close it .
Then ask for closing link ..

If one says go to branch .

Call another time in 2-3 time u will get a trained employee 🥶😁..

Call & ask u want to close account is there any charges left to be paid or service to be disabled..

If they say u can close account from branch..
Ask for link of account closure..
If they say visit branch.

Cut call try again & directly ask for account closure link

Keep your account balance zero till 31 jan
Then on 1 Feb call customer care and tell them to close account. They will close it
