I am Once again looking for a Perfect UPI App - Query & Discussion

rimtesh

TF Premier
These are my priorities in the same order
1. Fast payments and reliability
2. Option to turn off screen lock
3. Customisable upi id, and single upi id for all accounts
4. Default payment methods according to amount entered, I would want upi lite to be the default if amount is less than 100, if it's a merchant account and if rupay cc is accepted then rupay cc else my primary bank account

I think nobody discussed CRED app. It has very intuitive UI and super fast for payments. But no upi lite and wallet don't have upi option.

As an UPI app, it is okay. But, for other things (such as CC payment), there is only one (main) issue with CRED. Filing a complaint (for any issue) in RBI Ombudsman is impossible as CRED (or Dreamplug Technologies Pvt Ltd) isn't available in the list of registered entities in RBIO site (at least when I checked last time).

Nowadays, I am paying 20 cc bills per month on CRED. what's the best alternative apps without issues? Also with remainder like cred is any?

Unfortunately, there is no app without an issue.

You may keep using CRED, but just double-check the settlements. I have limited number of CCs. So, I don't use an app for bill payments or reminders. Currently, I mainly use HDFC SmartPay.

Bhim app is the best in market right now. No ads. Swift UI and good cashbacks. Customised UPI Id. Can download the transaction history since the beginning of the app.
How do you download the Txn History?
while UPI ID customization can be done on Bhim etc, any way to do upi pay and hide the banking name by any chance?
I am not seeing UPI ID change in the iOS iPhone App. Even youtube shows Android Videos doing the same.
From the start of the launch date, I use the BHIM app; it’s one of the crown jewels of all UPI apps. After the recent new version (4.0), it is, no doubt in my opinion, one of the most beautiful UI of UPI apps.
Default option -- for payments — is available; you can choose between a bank account and a Rupay card
screen lock is available - biometric or PIN.
UPI Lite is available.
NOTE - I use iOS, but I am sure the Android features would be the same.
GIVE IT A TRY.

Navi app does the job for me... not able to get kiwi for upi which is considered to be the best card for upi...so went ahead with Navi...gives a decent cash backs on small payments...
I will look into it as well.
Freecharge has 2 post transaction detail pages. One with summary which displays your name and another detailed page where it doesn't display your name.

I remember YES Pay Next hiding the bank name as well but they have stopped allowing edited VPAs. You can only choose from the suggested IDs.
I just made a Custom UPI ID and a Private ID with Freecharge Today. Not sure how it works or shows info to payee as Im a UPI newbie.
Why you want to hide bank name? Fraud in mind?
Lets say you make random small payments to Rapido, Auto or Street Vendor etc. Or if you are female.

Do you want your Full Name & Number and info shared with every person without any Privacy?

I do not need a full bio data and Use bad DBs) given to strangers who just Passed by me for a tiny bit.
(Full Name Number given one can Google/ LinkedIn
payzapp phonepe superpe
Will try each.
Yes Pay Next and Super Money no longer allow user edited VPAs. They now only allow VPAs from given suggestions.
Super Money, I can confirm to trying today and getting "suggestions"

An alternative thought. Bear with me..:cat-with-tears-of-joy:I do UPI transactions through any such app which I anyway use for any other purpose -

1. CRED - because I use that for CC Bill payment
2. Airtel - because I use it for paying my Airtel Bill using Axis Airtel CC.
3. Kotak 811 app (although it doesn't support payment through CC) - because my 811 A/C is the one that I use for UPI payment

Don't see a point in having a dedicated UPI app separately.

Why 3, bcoz you are using 3 Fin app for different needs , Right 👍
Many using 1 ONLY like BHIM for all in one.

Agree, there is no one best UPI app. Two weeks back I installed paytm (for a different reason -- to get hte freedom card LOL)
But then I found that paytm is giving Rs 50 cashback for 200 Rs UPI scan and pay using Rupay CC (2 times per user or per card I think).
I did that and got Rs 100 cashback. Such nice offers are there on many apps.
