Hsbc live+ card 50% annual fee waive off criteria

Hi guys,
I understand that the annual fee would be waived off if we cross 2L annual spends. But, is there any other criteria like 50% fee waiver off in case we cross 1.5L or more something like that? Also, can we negotiate with the bank on the annual fee based on our spends? Did any successfully managed to get the fee waiver off?

Please share your stories with this card.

Thanks

None official. HSBC is quite clear about it and that's what make it stand out as all gets equal treatment which is good.

You may try with their customer care / nodal office and share your findings.

No one has reported that in public as of now without completing the milestone.

I have crossed 2L spends for this year but will fall short about 50k from next year unless I use this card for spends which doesn't give any cb like school fees or gold purchases.

I spent more than 2L last year and still got the annual fee charged on my bill. Customer care says if i’ve spent more than 2L the fee will be reversed on next bill. To be honest that’s not a good way to waive fees.

Is that how HSBC waiver works for all?

I was also charged annual fee, which was reversed in next month. Nothing to worry.
Ideally they should not have charged only, but this the way they do

dude, they reverse the fee in the next statement itself. So, it just a 1 month wait, but you can the fee reversal if you cross the 2L spends.
Can you tell me when is this normally credited ?

I was charged 1k + GST on April 22nd. Till today I haven't seen it being credited or reversed.

I confirmed from Customer care that last 1 year spends is beyond 2L and the fee will be reversed.

This may appear weird but I think it makes sense considering bank avoiding all the loopholes of people getting fee waiver by just making spends in last month of annual cycle and then get them refunded/reverse by cancelling orders/returns on ECom sites in new annual cycle.

One month statement period for feel reversal gives bank time to consider those refunds getting settled and final spends calculation.

Just my opinion, in actual the reason could be different.
